In the Chyulu Hills of Kenya, master sculptor Mark Coreth is on safari to capture one of the area’s largest elephants in clay. Working with extraordinary speed, Coreth sculpts small-scale field studies as a “three-dimensional form of sketching” for completing his finished works back in the studio. His magnificent portraits convey the movement, speed, and violence of wildlife and have made him internationally recognized as a master sculptor of the animal in motion.
