Cyborg Girl Polymer Clay Sculpture – INGRID

Do you like the little handwritten notes in this video? πŸ˜›

I’m so excited to share this collaboration piece with my dear friend Violet Tong. We’ve known each other for 10 years now and we actually went to the same highs school together. In 2016, Violet came to New York for graduates school and decided to stay to pursue her art career. She is an amazing graphic designer/comic artist. We got in contact with each other last year when she first started working on her new comic series. We thought it would be so much fun to collaborate and bring one of her comic characters to life. Violet named her Ingrid. I’ve always wanted to sculpt a robot/cyborg so this is a perfect opportunity haha. I started the making process in January when I was on vacation in Bejing. And I just finished her last week. If you follow me on Instagram you probably already saw some sneak peek of this girl.

This babe will be displayed at Violet’s upcoming solo art show at Crossing Gallery in Chelsea NYC. Opening on April 2nd at 6pm. If you are in the area please come show her some support. The show is completely free to the public! Also, check out her Instagram page to see the original character design of this sculpture. This sculpture is SOLD. Thank you!
