How to sculpt female head

I am firing my sculptures in a kiln.
In order to do that, I must be able to remove the finished work from armature and hollow it. I am going to show this process in my next video.
I start building a clay form on a rod or pipe covered with newspaper. Paper absorbs the moisture from the clay which speeds up the drying process and makes the clay firm.
You have to do the initial sculpting slowly to allow the clay to become firm. If the clay is too wet it will slump down.
