Figure Drawing Tutorial
Today I demonstrate my figure drawing warm up process for you guys. This is an easy tutorial to follow along at home, the materials list is pretty short. You’ll need:
A sketchbook (preferably large, to give you room to draw)
Color pencils (I like using Prismacolors for this)
A Pencil Sharpener
Your Reference
When it comes to figure drawing reference, I like to pull from all sorts of places! Humans of New York (http://www.humansofnewyork.com/), The Sartorialist (http://www.thesartorialist.com/page/3/), Pixelovely (http://artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/), SenshiStock (http://senshistock.com/), and even Googling specific poses, like ‘yoga poses for men’. Mixing up your warm ups helps you level up your drawing ability faster, so try to do these every day!
