When people say that they can barely draw a stick figure, it just means that they haven’t developed the skill to create more believable figures in interesting poses. I wanted to share how I start every character drawing with basic stick figures and “build out” the body from these primitive stick figure drawings. This is my process for growing as an artist as well, as I show you how I do anatomy studies to reach beyond what my imagination is limited to, and how I expand my visual library to be able to draw more dynamic bodies with information I learn during my studies.
