Skin Tone & Colored Pencil Choices – Polychromos, Prismacolor, Holbein, Pablo
I received a question from a viewer about beefing up on colored pencil choices for skin tones, and so I decided to answer the question even more than just a few sentences. Here’s a guideline in choosing skin tones ranging from cool and warm tones, also featuring your favorite colored pencil brands like Faber-Castell Polychromos, Prismacolor, Caran D’ Ache Pablo, and Holbein Artists’ Colored Pencils. Keep in mind these are not the only options, but a basic starting palette to work with. You can use unconventional colors in addition to these to layer and give vibrancy to your piece.
