Plein air oil demo – "Scarred Landscape"

In this video I explain my thought process as I paint a plein air. I cover topics ranging from brush work to paint application and more. My palette was: Titanium White, Ivory Black, Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow Pale, Cadmium Red Light, and Raw Umber. I’ve driven by this location many times and finally got a chance to paint it. This was my chance to comment on the idea of man’s impact on the landscape. The techniques I used in this piece really help in getting information in quickly and suggestively. Thanks for watching !
