Drawing an anime girl portrait with pencil – Huta Chan

A nice video demonstration of an anime / manga style girl portrait from Huta Chan’s channel. Drawing a portrait of anime or manga is a useful exercise for beginners, it allows you to obtain safety because the facial features are stylized and follow some patterns. However this does not mean that it is an easy task because this style also has its rules. The proportion of the facial features is very important. In this video Huta uses a mechanical pencil that produces very fine lines and a 6B pencil to darken some areas and add some tonal value.
