Drawing a child in colored pencil – portrait tutorial by Lachri
In this time lapse drawing demonstration, I show you how to complete a portrait in colored pencil. I used Fabriano Artistico HP watercolor paper for this with Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils and a few Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils. Some of the colors I used are listed below.
helloblue-reddish, cobalt blue- greenish, light ultramarine, middle pthalo blue, cobalt blue, ultramarine, black, dark indigo, delft blue, white (luminance )
brown ochre, raw umber, terracotta, black, burnt sienna, burnt ochre, white (luminance)
Iris- earth green, warm grey IV, warm grey V, brown ochre, leaf green, burnt sienna, nougat, black, white (luminance)
whites- cold grey II, pink madder lake, cold grey IV
Skin: Green yellowish, burnt sienna, walnut brown, burnt umber, van-dyck brown, nougat, cold grey III, cold grey II, cold grey IV, payne’s grey, warm grey I, warm grey II, warm grey III, warm grey IV, warm grey V, light flesh, rose carmine, burnt carmine, light purple pink, magenta, middle purple pink, light ultramarine
