Plein Air Landscape Oil Demo – Approaching Storm
I had a great day painting. This is my second one…a 10 x 8 inch canvas board glued onto a panel.
I usually use MDF or masonite only, but thought I’d experiment. I liked the texture without the bounce of stretched canvas.
The clouds were in and out frequently, so I had to pick the shapes I liked and make it work.
The picture in the video is what the scene was like when I started.
The storm clouds came in quick! It was painted on the grounds of a local college with lots of woods around.
I’ve painted before up on the hill looking back. Lots of potential here.
