Pencil drawing time lapse – ‘In My Silence’ by Jono Dry
A time lapse from the studio.
‘In My Silence’ is a surreal, photorealistic pencil drawing. It took eight weeks to complete.
This drawing was such a pleasure to work on; it seemed to flow so easily. We are told to constantly push ourselves, that discomfort is good, that it promotes growth. While this is true, it also creates the idea that when we are comfortable, we become stagnant. This drawing reminded me that it’s okay to seek comfort, to enjoy the process, and to return to the familiar.
