Berlin Street Scene – As soon as I saw this photo sent in by Royston, a member from Norway, I knew that I wanted to paint it.

I was immediately drawn to the wet pavement, and slightly out of focus background, which I decided to treat just as simple shapes, merely hinting at the detail. The challenge is to get that wet look to the pavement, when you achieve that, the whole scene comes together.
