Veronica Hage: “When I was a kid, I used to walk a path in the woods behind my grandmother’s house out to a little dam.

You didn’t have to go far along the path before it felt like a different world.

The fresh green earthy smell, the crunch of leaves underfoot, the birds noisy in the trees. This little vignette reminds me of those days.
