Oil Painting Demo – Nuthatch – 5"x7" canvas panel
For this video demonstration I edited about 6 hours of video down into about 10 minutes, and overdubbed a simple commentary for it. The painting was completed over the course of three days; I was able to film for about two hours each day. I’m using a basic canvas panel, which I primed with two coats of Golden N5 Neutral Grey acrylic paint.
For the demo I’m using Rembrandt Artists’ Oil paint. My palette includes Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow Light, Cadmium Red Deep, Permanent Madder Deep, and Ultramarine Deep.
I’m using brushes from Escoda, Grumbacher, and Royal & Langnickel.
