Mastering Composition – Analyzing Art Books with Tracing Paper – Round 2

If you are wanting to master composition, then this video will give you a great head start! Whether you are a photographer or painter, use these techniques to your advantage.

As I flip through an art book of the Musée d’Orsay, which is full of amazing paintings, I will break down the masterful design techniques used in a couple of master paintings. I’ll cover figure-ground relationship, arabesques, gamut, gazing direction, pointing devices, and more!

The first one is Bouguereau’s “Birth of Venus” which is one of my favorite paintings of all time. Check out three more analyzed paintings in an extended version for The Master Pass members with free high res scans of the paintings: https://goo.gl/Kk638V
