Portrait drawing demo by Yong Chen. In this portrait demonstration to my drawing class, I focused on the early steps of the drawing process. I explained the importance of composition for an artwork and what my students should think at this early stage. With the help of the animation, I showed how to measure the proportion between the width of the face to the height of the face. Composition and proportion are very important foundations to ensure the final portrait will come out the way you want.
