Beach/Ocean Scene in Soft Pastels Tutorial – Melissa Mancuso Art

In this tutorial I’m demonstrating how I drew a beach scene using soft pastels on Pastelmat.

Supplies used:
*Unison soft pastels
*Richeson soft pastels
*Mount Vision soft pastels
*Pastelmat (grey)
*Fingers for blending 🙂

I use Pastelmat paper for this drawing, but you could also use any other sanded paper like UArt, Colourfix, or Mi-Teintes Touch. The regular Mi-Teintes can also be used for some lovely pastel work but you won’t get as many layers as you can with sanded papers.
