Use composition grids to add shape to your lettering

Lettering grids are a super way of bringing more structure and interesting layout options to your lettering. They can be handy for heading or quote pages in journals or for turning a simple quote into a stunning piece of lettering art.

In issue 2 of Simply Lettering, Sue Smith shows us how to work with lettering grids and shares a few designs to get you started. In this video, Lou Collins takes one of Sue’s grids and shows you how to customize it with your own design.
