Painting a manga background with ink

This is a test of painting a black and white manga (comic) background with just black waterproof ink. We are thinking on doing some comics together with Kana and I wanted to test if such approach to backgrounds is viable.

* Bic Evolution HB pencil
* Saji dip pen nib
