Charcoal Drawing – Local Colors in Still-life

Each object has a different surface texture and color, and we can call the surface color as the object’s local color. When multiple objects are present with different local colors, dark and light mixed together, we should first draw them as shapes with different values. And the whole drawing process is a constant observation, analysis, and balance to create an artwork that has a whole new visual connection.
