3dtotal Anatomy Figure Review for Digital Artists
Whether you are a digital artist, 3D sculptor or are using pencil, paper, paintbrushes or clay or create your art, this reference figure could be invaluable if you want to understand the form and structure of human anatomy. At 11″ this model a great desktop reference with fantastic detail. Join me for a review and drawing test using the anatomical artist’s figure from 3dtotal.
Cast in neutral grey resin
Weight approx 340 grams
The figure has been sculpted for 3dtotal by Federico Scarbini and Dan Crossland, printed using a top quality 3D printer by Ownage, and then cast in grey resin to make the variation in the surfaces and directional flow of the muscles easy to see and understand. One half of the model shows full skin, while the other is a clear and detailed dissection revealing muscle structure.
3dtotal launched this figure as a Kickstarter project in March 2013, which finished with an incredible 346 backers and £24,662 pledged of the initial £1,500 goal (1,644% over). Since then we have expanded our range to include a number of other male and female reference figures, all now available in the 3dtotal shop.
Until next time, keep on creating!
