Tempera, Gouache Painting – Ma Dai (Dynasty Warriors)

Painting Ma Dai from the Dynasty Warriors videogame with egg tempera from Sennelier.

I started with a pencil drawing and once I liked the results I started adding paint. I tried to focus mostly on the face for the details and slowly get more loose with the rest of the picture.

I don’t really like the Shu kingdom in the video games (I’m more of a Wei person) but there are some characters in Shu that I still like. Just a few tho, not many. And of course, Ma Dai is one of them!
