ACAD Continuing Education – Figure Painting Course Overview

The human figure has provided artists of all disciplines and skill levels with endless possibilities. Now you can concentrate on the figure as you paint from a live, nude model in the studio each
week. You will discuss proportions of the figure while you also focus on tone, colour, form and the relationships of space within your surface. Look at examples from art history and discuss how to add expression and emotion into your work. The use of oil or
acrylic paints is optional and individual technical guidance will be provided for both mediums.
